Last night, fans were shocked to hear that assumed frontrunner Colton Dixon was being eliminated from American Idol.
Colton spoke to E! News after the show, saying, “I think the biggest risk was ‘Bad Romance,’ and I think it was a bad risk to take because I didn’t really think it through. I think musically, performance-wise and image, I was so happy with the way it turned out. But at the same time the message that was portrayed wasn’t really who I was, and that’s normally the first thing I think about. For whatever reason, I overlooked that this week. I think that’s the main reason why I’m talking to you right now, honestly.”
Colton sang a Lady Gaga song, which may have turned off some of his fans. What do you think? Are you upset Colton was eliminated from Idol? Who do you want to win Idol?

he shouldn’t have been eliminated. he has such a great voice. i’m not going to be watching American Idol anymore because he’s the only reason i tuned in to watch. i cried my eyes out for hours.. it won’t be the same without him.
I was so shocked when he was eliminated! I thought it should’ve been Hollie going home instead of him.
Not at all surprised that he left. His performances were really bad this week, and he was never actually a front runner unlike Phillip. Last week’s Bottom 3 was fake and Colton and Hollie were actually in it. The save was used to get rid of Colton, who wasn’t leaving last week.

Cotlton should have won in my opinion! Like in last season, James should have won, too! Colton is very talented, and the only reaosn i watched American Idol, I think Jessica is REALLY boring, and i think they shouldnt have used their save on her. Colton is AMAZINGLY talented, and now i truley hope Elise will win! If Philip wins, i’m not going to be watching AI next year! Miss you, Colton!

I loved Colton from the moment he was brought in at his audition. He definitely did not deserve to leave. He had one bad week, which plunged him into the Bottom 3 and made him leave? Come on. He is so amazingly talented and he is a true performer. Some of the other contestants have to voice but what is needed on stage, performance wise. I was really hoping for a Phillip and Colton finale and I wouldn’t have cared who won! The only reason I’m still going to watch is for Phillip. If he leaves, then I’ll see you next season, Idol.
