Last weekend, Cody Simpson got fans pumped for the release of his latest EP, Preview to Paradise, by hosting a special album preview listening party! Cody walked the red carpet with some celeb friends (hello there, Kardashian/Jenner fam, Jessica Jarrell and Madison Pettis, to name a few) and then treated everyone to a first listen of few new songs off the EP.
Thanks to Pastry, Popstar! got to chill with Alli Simpson and Jessica Jarrell (both reps for the awesome shoe designer) in their hotel rooms as they got ready for the event! Alli gave us a piece of goss that her big bro might not be too keen on hearing. “He’s a little bit nervous!” Alli said of Cody, who always manages to look calm and collected. “But he’s really excited for everyone to hear the new stuff and see him perform,” she assures us.

Jessica tells us that when getting ready for an event, the shoes really make the outfit. “I always tend to figure out my outfit and then I go, ‘What shoes do I have to match this?’ Which is sometimes a bad thing, because I don’t have shoes sometimes. Then I have to call up Pastry and be like, ‘Can you send me…’ I have them on speed dial!” she dishes.

We also caught up with the man himself on the red carpet. “I think the last couple years of hard work has all been leading up to this year,” Cody told us.
