Coton Haynes

“I’ve had terminal anxiety all my life.” Colton Haynes has lived through a lot in his thirty years. From Kansas farm boy to New York model to Los Angeles actor to social media darling to bona fide inspiration, he’s travelled a long, winding road to get to where he is now: Happy, complete, and better than ever.

His path certainly wasn’t easy. He’s been struggling with depression and anxiety since he was a child, and things got even more challenging as he got older. With the pressures of fame, and the added pressure to hide his true self from the public eye, Colton has gone through some truly difficult times over the years.

Even as he shot to stardom and took his place among Young Hollywood royalty with his iconic roles in Teen Wolf and Arrow and that elusive golden boy IT factor, Colton was also privately struggling with his mental health and the constant demands to hide his sexuality.

But Colton is more than just talent, charm, and dreamy good looks – he’s smart, self-aware, and has a good head on his shoulders. He knew that he had to step away from everything to focus on his well-being. And so he did, bravely turning away from the glitz of Tinseltown to get better.

And he was his own person. And he didn’t want to experience all the self-shame that keeping his real self hidden was making him feel. So he took back control of his own narrative – and publicly came out.

He’s finally free to live his life the way he wants to, he’s thriving – personally, professionally, emotionally. And because at the heart of it all, Colton has always been, and always will be, a genuinely good guy, he now uses his platform to try to help others through similar challenges they may be facing in their own lives.

The one thing he always tries to convey? “Let’s all take a second to reach out to those in need of help & those who just need someone to talk to or some encouragement. A little love goes a long way. My heart is with my fellow survivors & people struggling through this disease… You aren’t alone.”

With all his struggles, success, and experiences, Colton has certainly lived. And now? Now, he’s finally living his best life. And we’re totally inspired!
