Office Depot is running this really cool contest! You go to a store and pick out a canvas backpack (in blue, pink, olive or green khaki) and two Sharpie markers come with it!
Then, you design YOUR ideal backpack!
You can even submit your designed backpack online for a chance to win $10,000 in prizes! Wow!
You’ll have all summer to submit your design – just do it by September 19, 2009.
There will be 10 finalists posted on http://www.myprojectbackpack.com where the public will vote for the winner. The grand prize winner will receive $5,000 and will have their backpack produced during the 2010 school season! That’s so cool!
The first runner up will receive $3,000 and the second runner up will receive $2,000! Not too shabby!
PLUS, if you enter, you’ll be in the company of some big names! This year at the Teen Choice Awards, stars are going to design and sign their own backpacks that will be given to the Teen Choice Charity!

I’M SO GOING TO ASK MY MOM TO BUY THE BACKPACK AND SHARPIES FOR ME WHEN SHE GETS HOME FROM WORK!!!! I’m usually known as drawing on my backpacks with sharpies, and I like decorating them more than they already are. I love drawing, this is soo my project! I’d have the coolest backpack at my school! I’m going to enter no matter what.
I’m going to draw hearts, stars, my friends names, quotes of songs that I like/love, my favorite celebritie’s names, and whatever else I think of!

I would draw whatever came to my mind. I most likely wouldn’t figure it out till i have the sharpies in my hand. lol
I also forgot to add, I’ve drawn on canvas shoes of mine…They turned out FANTASTIC, but then my mom put them in the washer and dryer….

i would draw cartoons i have created and animals like polar bears and elephants doing cool things like skateboarding and playing the guitar, and doing the disco, and playing baseball, and stuff like that. also, i would draw smiley faces cuz smiley faces ROCK!! i could draw peace signs and ‘lol’ everywhere and a lot of other cool things.
does the backpack really cost a dime cuz the blog name is design for a dime. it’s probably for more than a dime, but it would be cool if it did only cost a dime!!
