Rumors are getting louder about Henry Cavill’s fate in the DC Cinemativ Universe – and Henry Cavill seems to have just addressed them.
THR recently reported that Henry would no longer be playing Superman in the DC Cinematic Universe following unsuccessful contract negotiations for an appearance in next year’s Shazam! movie. Reports also said that Warner Bros. was shifting its focus to a Supergirl origin story – leaving no room for an actor Henry’s age in the franchise’s new direction.
Well, on Wednesday (September 12) Henry took to social media to seemingly address the rumors. He uploaded a very cryptic post on Instagram – A video clip of him wearing a “Krypton Lifting Team” shirt while jokingly holding up a Superman action figure in slo-mo. He captioned the video:
“Today was exciting #Superman”

Hmm. Wonder what this all means???
Henry has been portraying the Man Of Steel since 2013’s DC Solo Superman movie Man Of Steel. He would then continue to don the iconic cape for 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and 2017’s Justice League.
His rep Dany Garcia also took to social media to seemingly respond to the rumors, in a tweet implying that Henry’s stint as Superman may not be over just quite yet! Dany wrote:
“Be peaceful, the cape is still his closet. @wbpictures has been and continues to be our partners as they evolve the DC Universe.”
Be peaceful, the cape is still in his closet. @wbpictures has been and continues to be our partners as they evolve the DC Universe. Anticipate a WB statement later today.
