The beef between Kanye West and Drake just re-ignited!
Kanye has just about flooded Twitter with a series of rants about Drake – rehashing an epic feud between the two rappers that began earlier this year.
It began (again) when someone from Yeezy’s team sent him a text message that Drake was trying to get clearance for a song that Kanye produced for the “In My Feelings” rapper back in the day.
“Drake sent in clearance request for ‘Say What’s Real’. Do you wanna clear?” the screenshot of the message read, which Yeezy captioned “This proves s–t faker than wrestling.”
Then, he proceeded to point out the numerous jabs that Drizzy has thrown at him on numerous tracks, demanding an apology.
“Still need that apology for mentioning the 350s and trying to take food out your idols kids mouths,” he tweeted next, referencing Drake’s line from “No Stylist” – a collab with French Montana – which goes “Yeah, keepin’ it G, I told her ‘don’t wear no 350s ’round me.’”
It was followed with: “Been trying to meet with you for 6 months bro You sneak dissing on trav records and texting Kris talking bout how’s the family,” talking about Drizzy’s collab with Travis Scott on “Sicko Mode.”
“Sending purple emojis When I’m dealing with mental s–t I need my apologies now Not through scooter either Not through Travis,” he wrote, demanding a personal apology instead of having to get it from his manager, Scooter Braun, or his sis-in-law Kylie Jenner’s partner, Travis.
But he also tried to smooth things over with, “I would never intentionally try to hurt you bro I never even heard none of the diss records That ain’t my MO never did a diss record.”
Looking back at Yeezy’s first tweet about their beef, it shows that these guys weren’t always at odds – they used to work together on music!
Things began to sour earlier this year when Drake accused Kanye of leaking info about his son to Pusha T, who is part of Yeezy’s G.O.O.D Music label. Pusha rapped about it in his song “The Story of Adidon.”
Kanye tried to clear that bit up, saying, “I told you I ain’t tell Pusha about your son.”
But Ye also blamed Drake for allegedly “buying first two rows” at Pusha T’s concert in November, where he watched an overzealous fan attempt to attack the performer onstage at his Toronto show.
“Buying first two rows at Pusha show got me hot bro,” he wrote, adding, “Stop this already bro You getting people hurt out here And over what.”
Later, Yeezy gave an update that Drake finally called, but he still decided not to clear the music anyway.
“Drake finally called. Mission accomplished,” he tweeted, then added, “By the way… not cleared😂”
But just when you thought it was over, just a few hours later, Ye was at it again.
He accused the rapper of allegedly trying to threaten him.
“Drake called trying to threatened me,” he wrote. “So drake if anything happens to me or anyone from my family you are the first suspect So cut the tough talk.”
And his wife Kim Kardashian is also speaking up.
“@drake Never threaten my husband or our family. He paved the way for there to be a Drake,” she tweeted, adding, “My husband is the most brilliant person, the most genius person that I know. He has broken so many boundaries, everything from music, stage design, fashion and culture and will continue to change the world.”
Yeezy also added a warning, “We both too high profile for you to actually do something to me.”
And he called him out for being a bully, pointing out that paved the way for Drake in a series of tweets.
“I’m the guy with the pink polo that made a way for him,” he wrote. “There would never be a drake without a Kanye west so never come out your mouth with a threat.”
“You trying to be a bully. I never been bullied in my life and I never will be. That’s why I made it this far in a pink polo,” he added.
Kanye later accused Drake of being “disrespectful to all people with mental health conditions.”
“If I’m bipolar This kind of s–t can get me ramped,” he said in one tweet.
“You pick@on people with mental health issues,” he wrote in another.
“You try to pick targets you think are easy. Ye never been easy. I navigated these waters before you. That’s why you could be you.”
He also declared that he “will never make a diss record” nor “put negative energy into a song.”
And let everyone know that he’s not down for diss tracks, saying, “No artist should ever diss me for clout Period”
“All positive energy I got love for everyone Just don’t sneak diss or diss at all I paid the dues for all weirdos,” he wrote. “I love everybody all positive energy No one that is a musician should ever diss me My existence is for the rights of all artist.”
So far, Drake hasn’t responded to any of Kanye’s tweets, but he did post a bunch of laughing emojis in an Instagram story before Ye tweeted that he wasn’t clearing “Say What’s Real.” According to People, Drake’s rep has refused to comment on the tweets.
