We can’t wait for the next musical DCOM Let it Shine to premiere on Disney in June! Starring Coco Jones and Everybody Hates Chris‘ Tyler James Williams, Let it Shine is a modern retelling of the classic Cyrano de Bergerac story with a hip-hop twist. Watch the teaser trailer below!
In the movie, Cyrus (played by Tyler) and Kris (played by newcomer Trevor Jackson) are reunited with their childhood friend Roxie (Coco), who is now a famous singer, when her label sponsors a songwriting competition. Both boys enter, and Cyrus comes out on top. The catch? The judges think Kris wrote the song! Cyrus has to decide what to do as Kris not only takes credit for Cyrus’ lyrics, but starts using them to win Roxie’s heart.
