George Clooney was in an accident!

While riding his scooter in Sardinia, Italy, George was reportedly involved in an accident. The actor was going sixty miles an hour and was thrown twenty feet in the air when he was hit by a car. His helmet came off and hit the car’s windshield. TMZ reports that George’s reps have confirmed the details of the accident.

NBC also reports that the accident happened at around 8:15 A.M. (local time) on Tuesday (July 10), when a driver of a car allegedly did not “respect the right of way” and hit his scooter. The driver of the car called an ambulance to take the actor to the hospital.

According to La Nuova, The Ocean’s Eleven star was rushed to the John Paull II hospital, in the Olbia province, where he reportedly underwent an MRI after complaints of “a slight trauma to the pelvis and bruises to one leg and an arm.”

Thankfully, the 57-year-old actor didn’t sustain any serious injuries from the accident and was soon given the all clear. His wife, Amal, rushed to his side, and when George was cleared for release, the couple left the hospital in a private car.

According to his reps, he will be fine. “George Clooney was treated and released from an Olbia hospital. He is recovering at his home and will be fine.”

George has a house in Lake Como, but his trip to Sardinia is actually a work thing. He’s currently filming (starring, directing and producing) his Hulu project, Catch 22, a WWII series based on Joseph Heller’s novel.

Get well soon, George!
