Popstar! spoke with NYC Brow Guru Ramy to find out his best brow tips for teens!

“1. Do NOT, under any circumstances, use a razor. For some reason, this is the method of choice for young teens. (I was guilty of this at 14. Thank God it grew back!).
 
2. If at all possible, have it professionally done the first time so you have a good idea what your brows should look like when groomed correctly. Go to someone who comes highly recommended.
 
3. Avoid waxing. It is much harder to control than tweezing. With tweezing, you have more control and are less likely to have an accident or over-do it.
 
4. Take a conservative approach. When in doubt, don’t pluck it out! You can always remove more later, but if you overdo it, there is nothing to do but wait for it to grow back.
 
5. Keep it real. Don’t veer too far from nature. You want to groom your brows, not make them unrecognizable.
 
6. Take a pain reliever like tylenol a half hour before you tweeze, this will help minimize swelling and will reduce any pain.
 
7. Always pull hairs out only in the direction they grow.
 
8. It’s better to have your brows a little too close together than a little too far apart.”
