For years, Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum were on everyone’s “Most Adored Hollywood Couples” list. After all, the two were talented, gorgeous, and clearly totally adored each other. T

heir real-to-real romance is the stuff dreams are made of, and as they went on to get married and raise a family together, and see their stars shine brighter and brighter in the entertainment scene, they seemed to have it all – with their career, family, and relationship thriving.

This year however, Jenna and Channing parted ways. Their split played out in the public eye, and both suddenly found themselves single in Tinseltown after being part of one of its beloved celeb couples.

But throughout all the challenges and hardships faced navigating the split and her newfound singlehood, Jenna has handled it all with grace. And despite everything, the stunning star declares that she still believes in love!

In her cover feature for Cosmopolitan’s January 2019 issue, Jenna opens up about the separation, life as Mrs. Dewan-Tatum, her soul journey – and yes, her thoughts on happily ever afters! Check it out:

Her very public split with Channing

“People are like, ‘How do you get through this?’ I didn’t run away from my feelings. I let myself cry. I let myself grieve. This is one of those situations where I will see the light. The dawn is coming.”

Fame and the Mrs. Dewan-Tatum factor

“I’m obviously super aware that people know me, they know Channing, they know us together. We’d been a beloved couple for a long time. I was in Berlin and people were like, ‘We love your Lip Sync Battle!’ I was like, oh my god. You mean the time when I humped my husband-at-the-time’s face? I’m so glad that’s my calling card.”

Her “soul journey”

“I’ve always been a little hippie, spiritual. I am very sensitive—what you would call an empath. I know what it feels like to overextend and to overgive in life. I give out so much energy constantly.

“When I’m feeling out of touch with myself, especially with my sexuality, I dance. I immediately drop back into my body, and I feel it’s where my sensuality lives. It’s kind of a carnal feeling when I dance.”

The L word

“I do believe in love still, but I also believe it begins with really digging deep and learning how to love yourself. And then I think you sort of transmute that out to attract the right partner. I think that people who are meant to be sort of find each other.”

Jenna has been seeing Steve Kazee since October. Channing is currently linked to Jessie J. The two have maintained a good, healthy relationship with each other and continue to raise their daughter together – and sources have stated that the exes have nothing but love and care for each other.
