IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Approaching someone and suddenly kissing them is NOT a good thing.
This may seem like a no-brainer, but apparently, some people seem to forget it’s wrong – and still do it anyway. And then they get offended when the person they approached does not want to engage with them anymore.
Justin Hartley is opening up about an ugly encounter he had with a fan while dining at a restaurant with friends in Chicago. The This Is Us actor revealed to Good Housekeeping that a woman came up to him and started kissing him — and had to speak up and tell her that what she was doing was not in any way okay.
He candidly shared:
“This woman – who I don’t know, a stranger to me – recognized me and started screaming, going crazy. She ran over and started kissing me.
I said, ‘You do not walk up to people that you do not know and put your mouth on their face.’ ‘If I did that to you, I would be in prison. Please do not do that. And not that I’m trying to teach you life lessons, but I feel like this is a really good one for you. Don’t do that to anybody ever again.”
Justin went on to say that the fan seemed embarrassed afterward, so the two of them had a “little breaking of the bread.” But she then came back to ask for a photo with him:
“I said, ‘I’m good.’ I’m usually really good with photos, but I’m like, ‘I’m not taking photos with you after you sexually harassed me. I’m good without a photo.’
As she was leaving, she was, like, ‘Justin Hartley is a jerk,’ but not really jerk — something more foul.
I was, like, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me.’”
Guys, please remember. A little respect and decency goes a long way!
