Is it totally weird that we watch movies on Disney Channel whenever they’re on? Not just us? Okay good. We just got news that another movie will be premiering on Disney in June 2012! It’s called Let It Shine, and we can’t wait to tell you guys all about it.

If you’ve got a crush on someone and don’t quite know how to tell them, then this movie was practically made for you. It’s about a talented musician, Cyrus DeBarge (Tyler James Williams), who is too shy to tell his crush, teenage singing sensation Roxanne Andrews (CoCo Jones) that he likes her. Because he expresses himself better through writing, he composes adorable hip-hop verses specially made for her and has his best friend, Kris McDuffy (Trevor Jackson), deliver the ghost-written notes on his behalf. How cute is that?

Trouble ensues when Roxie’s record label sponsors a song-writing contest and Kris is credited with writing Cyrus’ song lyrics. Since Cyrus is too shy to stand up and admit the lyrics are his own, he watches in dismay as Roxie falls for his best friend. Now if we can only wait until the summer to see what happens, that would be great.
