And then there was one…
Days leading up to a wedding is usually filled with drama – and the Royal Wedding is no exception.
Only two people from the Markle family were invited to Royal Wedding of HRH Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle this Saturday (May 19) – Meghan’s dad, Thomas Markle Sr., and her mom, Doria Ragland. But now, Kensington Palace announced that the father of the bride won’t be walking his daughter down the aisle.
Paparazzi photos of Mr. Markle has been making the rounds in publications showing how he was getting ready for the big day – among them showing how he was getting measured for a suit, exercising, browsing the internet for news of his daughter and her royal fiancé.
But with less than a week left to go before Prince Harry and Meghan say their “I do’s,” allegations against Meghan’s father colluding with the paparazzi surfaced – and that the photos were allegedly staged and they also allegedly sold for large amounts of money.
On Monday, the “Suits” actress’ dad told TMZ that “he suffered a heart attack six days ago, but checked himself out of the hospital to attend the wedding.” And that “he’s now decided not to go because he doesn’t want to embarrass the Royal Family or his daughter.”
Kensington Palace also announced in a statemement: “This is a deeply personal moment for Ms Markle in the days before her wedding. She and Prince Harry ask again for understanding and respect to be extended to Mr. Markle in this difficult situation.”
