Vanity Fair‘s latest piece on The Hunger Games‘ young cast gives us a look at more of the Tributes! Above, Amandla Stenberg, who plays Rue, and Alexander Ludwig, who plays the bloodthirsty Cato, are pictured with leads Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth. Head to VanityFair.com for an interactive look at the whole cast!
Director Gary Ross promises Vanity Fair that his interpretation of the beloved series will stay true to the books. “My responsibility was to [author Suzanne Collins] and the readers, to give them the same experience they had when they read the book,” says Gary. “I was just so lucky that I had the cast I had.”
Josh Hutcherson, who plays Peeta, opens up to Vanity Fair about his desire to snag the role. “I literally read all three books over the course of five days,” he says. “My mind was blown by how much I felt I was like Peeta. We shot in the forest near Asheville, North Carolina—a lot of fight scenes, very physically demanding. Jennifer and I totally hit it off. We’re both crazy people—we don’t hold anything back.”
We can’t believe we have to wait until March 23 to see the movie—these pictures are just so good! What do you think of the cast?
