Pink continues to battle a lingering illness that’s had her hospitalized in Sydney TWICE!

The “What About Us” singer was forced to postpone several scheduled shows in Sydney after falling ill and being rushed to St. Vincent’s hospital in Sydney for two consecutive days.

The 38-year-old performer first fell ill last week, forcing her to postpone her Friday show. Pink took to Twitter to share the news, writing: “Hi my Sydney friends. It is with great frustration that I bring you this news:( Friday’s show will be postponed. I was hoping a couple of days of rest would help me kick this sick, but not at the speed I was hoping for. I appreciate your well wishes and understanding + I’m sorry.”

According to her concert promoter, Live Nation, who posted updates on the singer’s health on Twitter, on Sunday, she was rushed to the hospital but was later released. On Monday, however, she was re-admitted to the hospital and was kept overnight for treatment:

“UPDATE: Pink was admitted to hospital in Sydney on Sunday night, suffering from dehydration. She was treated and discharged. She was readmitted to hospital today and diagnosed with a gastric virus. Pink will remain in hospital overnight, continuing her treatment and recovery.”

Now, Pink herself is apologizing to her fans in Sydney. In a long heartfelt message on Instagram, she thanked them for their support. She also shared updates on her ongoing her health issues and status of her upcoming shows.

“Hi beautiful Sydney people,” she wrote. “First, I want to say thank you to all of the kind people out there for your well wishes for my speedy recovery.”

“On Monday, we were absolutely planning on going ahead with the show, and about 20 minutes before I left for soundcheck, I was rushed to the hospital, in excruciating pain,” she explained. “That was the reason for the late cancellation. It was out of anyone’s control, and of course, wasn’t planned that way.”

Hi beautiful Sydney people. First, I want to say thank you to all of the kind people out there for your well wishes for my speedy recovery. On Monday, we were absolutely planning on going ahead with the show, and about 20 minutes before I left for soundcheck, I was rushed to the hospital, in excruciating pain. That was the reason for the late cancellation. It was out of anyone’s control, and of course, wasn’t planned that way. I was discharged from hospital last night, and am following doctors orders of liquids and rest. A lot of you know how physical my shows are, and that I don’t just stand in front a microphone and sing. I flip, dance, fly, harness, silk, and scream my way through a total shit show of awesomeness (no pun intended). Therefore, I need to be physically healthy and well in order to perform this show. I think all of you deserve the full show and me at my best. Our next show will be Saturday, and until then I will be drinking green tea, and spending time with my kids. That’s a warning to paparazzi, you might actually see me walking upright outside of my hotel room cage with two little children, and another warning: I might even smile. Not too much, though. I’ll try to control the smiling. My sincere apologies to any of the ticket holders that this has affected, the rescheduled dates will be announced today. Thank you for your patience, compassion, and support. I look forward to rocking out with all of you as we have done for many many years. All of my love. Pink I also want to thank the amazing doctors and nurses at St Vincent’s Hospital for taking such good care of me and getting me home to my kids.

The singer also gave an update on her upcoming shows. While she has been released from hospital orders, she will be postponing more shows on medical advice.

“I was discharged from hospital last night, and am following doctors orders of liquids and rest,” she continued to write. She also explained why it’s important that she be in top physical form for her performances.

“A lot of you know how physical my shows are, and that I don’t just stand in front a microphone and sing. I flip, dance, fly, harness, silk, and scream my way through a total sh*t show of awesomeness (no pun intended). Therefore, I need to be physically healthy and well in order to perform this show. I think all of you deserve the full show and me at my best.”

She does, however, have some good news – the Saturday show is a go. “Our next show will be Saturday,” she announced. “and until then I will be drinking green tea, and spending time with my kids.”

She also issued a warning to the paparazzi to address mistaken reports that she cancelled a show to go to the beach. “That’s a warning to paparazzi, you might actually see me walking upright outside of my hotel room cage with two little children, and another warning: I might even smile. Not too much, though. I’ll try to control the smiling.”

Pink issued an apology to affected fans who have bought tickets to her postponed shows, promising that the shows for the postponed shows will be rescheduled. “My sincere apologies to any of the ticket holders that this has affected,” she wrote, adding, “the rescheduled dates will be announced today. Thank you for your patience, compassion, and support. I look forward to rocking out with all of you as we have done for many many years. All of my love. Pink”

The “Just Give Me A Reason” singer also gave a shout-out to the medical staff at the hospital where she was admitted, adding, “I also want to thank the amazing doctors and nurses at St Vincent’s Hospital for taking such good care of me and getting me home to my kids.”

Feel better soon, Pink!
