Popstar! was the only U.S. teen mag lucky enough to attend “Summer with the Stars” at Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort two weeks ago in gorgeous Cancun, Mexico, and let us tell ya…it was the trip to end all trips!

 

The view from our room…YEAH. We know.

The coolest thing is that guests got to mix and mingle with a ton of big stars, including *NSYNC’s Joey Fatone, Hannah Montana‘s Cody Linley, High School Musical‘s Corbin Bleu, Step Up 3D‘s Rick Malambri & Sharni Vinson and American Idol faves Ruben Studdard, Tim Urban, Aaron Kelly, Michael Johns, Chris Richardson, Brandon Rogers, Mikalah Gordon, Sanjaya Malakar, Kristy Lee Cook, Didi Benami and Anoop Desai!

 

 

 

 

And the whole thing raised funds for the Palace Foundation, which helps local communities—many of the stars spent time visiting with kids and pitching in!

DAY ONE—June 15th

 

Arriving, Special Correspondent Tanya and all the other guests were greeted by the stars at a festive Kick Off Reception. All the stars attended and were available for pictures and autographs, and many even performed.

DAY TWO—June 16th

 

The next morning, the celebs hit the golf course at 9am for the Closest to the Pin Contest. It was hilarious watching the non-golfers try their best, hehe.

Then, everyone had to take off and begin rehearsals for the All Star Jam that was coming up the following day. We were invited to peek in and  yes, we brought our camera!

This is as “behind-the-scenes” as it gets!

That night, everyone participated in a massive Pop Star Karaoke Contest with Joey as host and Mikalah, Corbin and Brandon as judges. There was some incredible talent, but young Nicole eventually took top honors—which meant she would get to open the All Star Jam the following night!

Right after, there was a massive Step Up 3D Contest inside the nightclub with some really eye-popping dancing! Top prize was a backstage pass for the All Star Jam.

DAY THREE—June 17th

 

Popstar! was invited to the final rehearsal for the All Star Jam, so we were lucky enough to see all the stars perfecting their songs up close. They were all pumped and ready to give it their all that night!

After that, we got dressed up for the Rock Your Idol Red Carpet that was happening before the Jam. WOW. It was like every news outlet in the world was there!!! It was just crazy and everyone looked great despite the hot weather.

Before the Jam, video was shown of the stars meeting people as part of the charitable drive, then karaoke queen Nicole opened…and she was great! What a dream for her.

The show itself was full of stand-out performances! Just imagine Michael Johns rockin’ to “Dream On” or Aaron Kelly, Didi Benami and Tim Urban singing “The Climb.”

DAY FOUR—June 18th

 

Despite a pretty big storm, we got to hang out with the stars yet again during the Sun and Fun Celebrity Beach Tournament. The staff was dressed as pirates and there were two teams—American Idol versus High School Musical (this one led by Corbin, of course!).

 

Yes, watching Cody Linley, Rick Malambri, Corbin Bleu, Tim Urban and all the hot guys in their swimsuits with no shirts was very difficult for us, but we HAD to do it for you! hehe

 

 

 

In the end, we were all on the SAME team!

That night was a Farewell Reception in the lobby with more photo ops and autographs. The final dinner had six courses and we had our own, exclusive waiter…¡Ay, caramba!
