Popstar! just heard that the buff star of New Moon was actually in the running to play Shane in Disney Channel’s Camp Rock!
We hear that Taylor was an early favorite for the role before they decided to cast the Jonas Brothers!
Wow—it would have been a whole different movie!
Do you think you would have liked Camp Rock better with Taylor Lautner as Shane? Or do you think it was perfect just the way it was?

It’s a tough choice. Taylor Lautner is really hot and all, but the question is does he even have the singing voice to fit it? Now that’s something to think about. The Jonas Brothers did an amazing job in Camp Rock, and they should remain in Camp Rock. Taylor Lautner is doing awesome in Twilight and there is even more of him in New Moon that we are all dying to see. It should stick the way it is right now. Even without Taylor in Camp Rock he is already doing great.

i agree wit ‘hannahb376′ i love taylor lautner, hes hot nd he seems sweat nd hes also a good actor, but personaly i think dat if they casted him as shane it would mess up the wholeee movie.. it just bothers me wen people do a movie nd den do a second movie with different people, its just not a smart move. they should just stick 2 da same people 4rm da 1st movie, they shouldnt change anytin, but dats just my opinion..
I guess that everything that is good can be better,but i like the true camp rock …of course that i think Tylor is very good but is better the way it is !!!

yeah, i think he would’ve been great! he’s a good actor, though i can’t see him as cocky. but he IS a good actor, so i know he could pull it off. and to hear him sing would be amazing, no doubt he’d be fantastic! the problem is that after that– BAM, he’s a Disney star, and as much as i’d like to see him all the time on TV, i think that his career would be better without Disney. he can amount to bigger and better things easier WITHOUT Disney. yeah, he was in Sharkboy and Lavagirl, but look how much things have changed since then, i don’t think i’ve ever seen any one of the actors in that movie ever on Disney again, so i guess it worked out in his favor. i would have rather liked to see him in this movie, but it’s better for his career if he didn’t, so i guess it all works out in the end.
I love it just the way it is!!!! I LOVE Joe Jonas and I think he plays a great Shane! I think Taylor Lautner is cool and all but Joe is way cuter!!!
