The light has finally come!
If there’s one thing we can count on, it’s Ariana Grande giving us something special when she says she’s going to.
Ari promised her fans something special every 20th of the month leading up to her album launch – this time, she released her newest single, “The Light Is Coming” – a Pharell produced collab with Nicki Minaj. And her upcoming album, Sweetener, is now available for pre-order, too!
The “No Tears Left To Cry” singer shared the news on Twitter, announcing “Sweetener is now available for preorder & The Light Is Coming feat @nickiminaj is out now everywhere.”

The song features Nicki kicking off Pharrell’s hard-hitting beats with punchy verses. Then, the 24-year-old singer took over, with a melodious chant “The light is coming to give back everything the darkness stole.”
It’s still just audio though. We’re still waiting for that Dave Meyers-directed music video that Ari and Nicki teased last week.
It’s been a couple of months since Ari released the first single off of Sweetener, but she’s also been featured in collabs with other artists since.
Last week, two hot tracks with her vocals featured dropped – she jammed with Troye Sivan in his sizzling summer bop “Dance To This”; she also teamed up with Nicki Minaj in the sultry single, “Bed,” for Nicki’s upcoming album Queen.
Ari also gave us an update on Sweetener’s release date – August 17! Plus, according to a statement to Billboard, pre-orders for the album through her website, shop.arianagrande.com, will receive pre-sale ticket access to her upcoming tour.
