Nicki Minaj and Cardi B are all over the news following their brawl at an event. And now, a fellow power woman in the music industry – who was also at the said event – is speaking her mind.
Kelly Rowland was in attendance at the party where Nicki and Cardi’s physical altercation took place on Friday (September 7). And this is what she had to say about the highly-publicized feud between the two rappers.
Speaking candidly to E! News. Kelly stated:
“I think in a time where Serena Williams is fighting for equality—I love both Nicki Minaj and Cardi B and I think that they are extremely talented—and in a time when she is fighting for women’s equality, we just can’t be fighting.
There’s no time for us as women to fight and they are just so talented and I just genuinely love them both so much, but it’s just not the time. We have way bigger issues as women, you know what I mean? So I don’t know. I’m Switzerland, I don’t f–cking know.”
Cardi and Nicki’s feud began after they collaborated on Migos’ “Motorsport” – and came to a head on Friday, when a huge physical confrontation between the two at a New York Fashion Week event at the Plaza Hotel in NYC ended with Cardi exiting the party with one shoe and a huge lump on her face.
Cardi and Nicki have both since broken their silence separately about the matter.
