Ariana Grande’s fans are so dedicated, they’re calling for a boycott of her current No. 1 track “7 rings.”

Wait, what?!

In a weird turn off events, Ari’s fans launched the campaign #Boycott7Rings to knock “7 rings” off the top of the charts – but, don’t worry, they’re not breaking up with the singer or her songs. They just really want her new single, “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored” to debut at No. 1, too. Some fans even plan to hold streaming parties to do just that.

So, how did Ari react to the campaign?

“y’all are so insane and funny and i love u. nothings funnier than ‘boycott seven rings’….. i can’t lmao,” she tweeted one fan. “whatever’s meant to be will be, babies i ain’t goin nowhere.”

Another fan seemed to agree with her. “i cant believe we are boycotting 1 of arianas songs so the other can debut at #1 ……. this is actually insane,” the fan observed – to which Ari replied “ur all sick.”

In another tweet, Ari laughingly acknowledged that this is a “wild time” for her and her fans.

Her fans are working hard to show her love. Last year, the 26-year-old pop star scored her first No. 1 track with “thank u, next” – and spent a total of seven weeks at the top spot. Ari’s follow-up single “7 rings” also debuted at No. 1 on the Top 100. She already made Billboard chart history as “the first artist whose first two No. 1s have both debuted at the pinnacle.”

So far, there’s only been five artists who’ve scored multiple No. 1 debuts on the Hot 100 chart. If her fans’ campaign succeeds, she’ll be tied with current leader, Mariah Carey, who holds three – “Fantasy,” “One Sweet Day,” and “Honey.” As it is, she’s already right there alongside Drake, Justin Bieber and Britney Spears who each have two.

Plus, three of Ari’s four albums have debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Results are yet to come in for her latest release, thank u, next, which just dropped on February 8.

“We’re a dedicated fandom, you know dis,” one social media user tweeted at Ariana.

“the most,” she replied. “i love you.”
