No plans have been made for it at this point – but this (hypothetical) movie is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films ever!
We’re talking about the clamored-for all-female Marvel movie, which countless of fans all over the world have been totally begging for ever since we saw the strong women of the Marvel cinematic universe share the screen on Avengers: Infinity War — and that desire was just further fueled when Marvel Studios did a photo shoot with Zoe Zaldana, Tessa Thompson, Brie Larson, and Scarlett Johansson.
And even Gamora herself is totally on board!
Zoe Saldana, who plays Gamora on the MCU, got candid with Women’s Health magazine (she looks positively radiant on the cover, btw!) about life as a mom and a working actress, her relationship with food, and of course – the importance of an all-female superhero movie.
Keeping Physically And Mentally Fit For Both Her Career And Her Life As A Mom:
“I like feeling that I’m giving myself – my body, my spirit, my mind – the attention it needs.”
Her Relationship With Food:
“When I was younger, I was more strict. I felt I needed to control that part of my life in order to feel I was going to be successful at something – because we often equate success with our physical beauty. It’s so f-cked up!”
On Her Female Co-Stars, And An All-Female Marvel Movie:
“We were getting to know each other, and it became this lovefest. We started feeling bolder, braver, and super inspired, and it was decided: Marvel should have all-female-cast movies! The energy came from connecting with each other, from being fearless and saying, ‘You know, we’re going to talk about what we truly feel,’ versus staring each other down like we’ve always been encouraged to do as women.
And it is important that we have an all-female movie. Our girls need it. Our boys need it. We need it!”
Can you hear us, Marvel? WE ALL NEED IT!
