$545.5 million – that’s how much the 10 highest-paid movie actors collectively made this year.
Forbes has released the list of 2020’s 10 top-earning actors – and these guys have brought home some hefty paychecks. Check out who they are below:
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson – $87.5 Million
Ryan Reynolds – $71.5 Million
Mark Walhberg – $58 Million
Ben Affleck – $55 Million
Vin Diesel – $54 Million
Akshay Kumar – 48.5 Million
Lin-Manuel Miranda – $45.5 Million
Will Smith – $44.5 Million
Adam Sandler – $41 Million
Jackie Chan – $40 Million
This is the second year in a row that The Rock has topped the list. Others have also made a portion of their earnings from their other endeavors, such as social media platforms, endorsement deals, as well as licensing deals.
According to Forbes, the numbers are based on these actors’ estimated gross earnings, so it’s still not clear just how much each gets to take to the bank after taxes, fees and all of that stuff.
These reflect the actors’ earnings between June 1, 2019 and June 1, 2020. Most of the projects wrapping before the coronavirus pandemic hit, which allowed them to earn some pretty big pay days. Apparently, Netflix has been a huge factor in these stars’ paychecks as well.
As for the ladies, the list of the highest -paid actresses will be out next month.
