Two years ago, a photo of Cara Delevingne went viral – so much so that it ended up becoming a security concern.
The photo in question is from 2019 – she and then-girlfriend Ashley Benson were photographed carrying a NSFW purchase for the bedroom into their home.
In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, the 28-year-old model explained that the front door of their home was featured prominently in the photo, which made it identifiable. It subsequently led to security concerns – including break-ins at her house! The whole situation eventually led her to move out of that home.
As for the nature of their purchase, Cara had a good sense of humor about it.
“It was heavy,” she told the magazine, adding, “The picture is hysterical.”
Cara and Ashley split in 2020 – and Cara opened up about their breakup for the first time. While she didn’t go into specifics, she did say the Coronavirus lockdown “was the most trying time,” and it “really makes or breaks you.”
She also shared a kind sentiment about all of her exes. “I don’t feel like I’ve ever left a relationship so f–ked up that it’s been like, ‘I never want to speak to that person again,’” she shared. “I just love all the people I was ever with and want the best for them, you know what I mean? I want to see them grow, see them happy.”
With all the rumors surround her dating life, Cara also got candid about the challenges of even just stepping out in public.
“People constantly assume that any woman I’m standing next to or photographed with must be someone I’m dating, which has been challenging—not only on me but also on them,” she said. “It makes me want to become more of a hermit and isolate myself, which is horrible because I’m a person that loves to be around people.”
