Adam Levine has been all over the news because major cheating allegations have come out against him. Now, he is speaking out on the allegations.
Instagram model Sumner Stroh alleged that Adam had an affair with her and cheating on his wife. She said that the affair lasted “for about a year.” She posted screenshots on TikTok of alleged direct messages between her and Adam to substantiate her allegations.
On Tuesday (September 20), the 43-year-old Maroon 5 frontman released a statement on social media in response to the accusations. Taking to his Instagram Stories, Adam wrote:
“A lot if being said about me right now and I want to clear the air. I used poor judgement in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner.
I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period in my life. In certain instances it became inappropriate; I have addressed that and taken proactive steps to remedy this with my family.
My wife and my family is all I care about in this world. To be this naive and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make. I will never make it again.
I take full responsibility. We will get through it. And we will get through it together.”
In the original TikTok video, Sumner called herself “young and naive” during her affair with Adam and said that she feels “exploited.”
In one of the screenshots she shared, Adam told her:
“It is truly unreal how f**king hot you are like it blows my mind… You are 50 times hotter in person and so am I haha.”
Sumner also claimed that he later came back into her life to DM her and ask if he could name his child “Sumner” should it be a baby boy.
She stated that she had no plans to come forward but that after sending screenshots to a supposed friend, that friend threatened to sell the screenshots to a tabloid. Sumner also said that she was under the impression Adam and his wife, Behati Prinsloo, were over at the time, and added:
“I’m not the one who’s getting hurt here. It’s Behati and her children, and for that I am so, so sorry.”
Adam and Behati wed in 2014 and are already parents to daughters Dusty Rose, 5, and Bio Grace, 4. Behati just confirmed she was pregnant with baby number three last week.
