Reign star Adelaide Kane is getting candid about her finances.
“So I found out today the internet thinks I’m worth $4 million,” she said in a TikTok video posted last week. “My crippling debt says otherwise. WHERE?!”
When one fan commented, “But but u were on reign and it says they paid u 15k for each episode,” she responded with another TikTok video to break down the math.
After sharing the Screen Actors Guild rate for the minimum wage of series regulars per episode, the Autralian actress then gave a hypothetical figure of the money she would have earned in her entire career. However, she also explained that she doesn’t keep all the money for herself – part of her earnings goes to her agent, manager, lawyer, business manager, and taxes – which is higher for her being a foreign worker. She says she also has to pay rent in multiple cities, and, on occasion, publicists, social media teams, stylists, hair and makeup and more.
However, she later went on the platform to assure fans that she’s doing alright – she has money saved up.
“Every actor I know saves as much as humanly possible because most of us go for months, sometimes years, at a time between jobs,” she explained. “I’m fine but my savings won’t last forever, you know what I mean?”
