Adele is one step closer to becoming officially single.
It’s been two years since Adele and estranged husband, Simon Konecki, announced they were getting divorced, and, per Entertainment Tonight, they have reached a settlement.
As a refresher, Adele and Simon reportedly started dating in 2011, but kept things on the DL. The “Someone Like You” singer, who likes to keep her personal life private, opened up about their relationship in 2012 in a blog post on her website I’ve Got Some News – when they announced they were expecting their first child together.
They welcomed their son Angelo in October of 2012 and tied the knot in 2017, which Adele confirmed during her acceptance speech at the GRAMMYs.
In March 2019, Adele’s reps announced that the “Rolling In The Deep” singer and Simon have separated – the divorce papers were filed a few months later, in September.
Adele has since been rumored to have moved on with rapper Skepta – the two have been romantically linked as far back as October 2019 and their flirty social media interactions just adds fuel to rumors that they are dating.
Adele and Simon filed a judgement packet with the court on Friday, January 15 – but the divorce won’t be official until a judge signs the agreement.
