Adele may have just dropped a bomb on her fans about her new music.

Adele’s last album dropped waaay back 2015, and she hasn’t performed a full concert since 2017. Fans have been clamoring for new music from the “Hello” songstress for the longest time.

In March 2019, Adele was spotted hanging out at a recording studio in New York City, which sparked speculations that new music was on the way. In February of this year, when Adele performed onstage at her bestie Laura Dockrill’s wedding, she also had a sweet announcement for the guests: “Expect my album in September”!

Of course, the video, which was captured by a guest, went viral and the announcement hit the headlines.

Then the coronavirus pandemic happened.

Back in June, when Adele posted a photo of herself watching her 2016 Glastonbury performance, a fan commented, asking, “Teaser? Albums coming out today???!!!! Tell me now!!!!”

“Of course it’s not. Corona ain’t over. I’m quarantining. Wear a mask and be patient,” she responded.

On Friday (August 14), Adele went on Instagram to share a book find – Untamed: Stop Pleasing, Start Living by author Glennon Doyle.

“If you’re ready – this book will shake your brain and make your soul scream,” Adele wrote in the caption, sharing her love for the book. “I am so ready for myself after reading this book! It’s as if I just flew into my body for the very first time. Whew! Anyone who has any kind of capacity to truly let go and give into yourself with any kind of desire to hold on for dear life – Do it. Read it. Live it. Practice it. We are a lot! But we are meant to be a lot!”

An eager fan, who may have been hoping the post was an announcement about her new music, hopped on the comments section to ask, “Adele where’s the album?”

Her response? “I honestly have no idea.”

It seems we may have to wait a bit longer for her new music. However, fans don’t necessarily have to wait long for news about Adele. She has been pretty active on social media, sharing updates on what she’s been up to in quarantine.

Last week, she was totally fangirling over Beyonce’s Black Is King visual album – and even copped one of Bey’s looks in the film.

“Thank you Queen for always making us all feel so loved through your art ♥️♥️,” she captioned a photo of her watching the film while rocking a moon-covered top with a similar print to the body suit Bey was wearing in the video.
