Adele is reportedly back in the dating scene.
The 33-year-old songstress was spotted courtside at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday (July 17), to watch Game 5 of the NBA Finals – Phoenix Suns vs. Milwaukee Bucks. She looked fabulous in a black coat with a tan-and-white pattern, with a chic all-black ensemble underneath.
While she wasn’t the only celebrity watching the game – Vanessa Hudgens (who sang the national anthem), LeBron James, Lil Wayne and more stars were also there – Adele’s rare public appearance has caused quite a buzz with speculations of a new romance.
The “Rumor Has It” singer was seated beside LeBron’s agent, Rich Paul – and a source tells E! News that “Adele and Rich Paul attended the game together.”
ESPN sports journalist Brian Windhorst also took note of the rumored new couple’s attendance at the game.
“Meanwhile, Rich Paul, [LeBron’s] agent, brings his girlfriend to the game to sit next to LeBron. His girlfriend is Adele,” Brian said in a recent podcast episode of The Lowe Post. “Rich Paul is at the game with Adele. Lebron is watching the game with Adele. This is the first time that they’ve come out in public together so this will be all over the tabloids, especially in England tomorrow. Trust me.”
So far, neither Adele nor Rich have publicly addressed the dating rumors. Their reps are yet to respond to requests for comment.
The alleged date night comes four months after Adele finalized her divorce from ex-husband Simon Konecki – they announced their split in April 2019. The singer previously sparked romance rumors with British rapper Skepta, but appeared to shut that down in October 2020, when she subtly announced that she wasn’t in a relationship.
“I’m going back to my cave now to be the (single) cat lady that I am! Peace out til next year [black heart emoji],” she wrote on Instagram, after making her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live.
Meanwhile, Rich was previously linked with Jennifer Meyer – Tobey Maguire’s estranged wife.
The romance rumors also come amid anticipation for Adele’s upcoming album. A source previously told E! News that Adele has been busy recording new music.
“Adele has been very busy focusing on herself this last year,” the insider shared, “and has spent months in the studio recording her new album.”
“The album is going to be released very soon, and she is excited for the world to hear it,” the source added.
Adele’s friend Alan Carr also previously teased about the singer’s new music.
“I’ve heard some tracks on it,” he told Grazia UK in January. “Oh my gosh, it’s so amazing. It’s so amazing.”
“I said to her, I said, that voice is like an old friend,” he continued. “Because there are some people in the charts who sound a bit like Adele and you go, ‘Oh, they sound ‘Adele” and then when you hear Adele’s voice again, you go, ‘Oh no, there’s only one. There’s only one Adele.'”
