Adele has been a hot topic lately, with both her professional and personal life making headlines. And now, the 33-year-old British chart-topper is facing the speculations head-on.

In a new appearance on The Graham Norton Show on Friday (February 11), the singer gamely responded as she was asked about the rumors surrounding her.

When asked about that massive diamond ring she wore at the BRIT Awards and if she was in fact engaged to her boyfriend Rich Paul, Adele cheekily gave a non-answer, teasing:

“If I was would I ever tell anyone if I was or wasn’t?”

She also touched on her postponed Vegas residency, showing that she very much has her future with her sports agent boyfriend on her mind:

“We are now working our a**es off, but I don’t want to announce a new set of dates until I know everything will definitely be ready. The sooner I can announce the better, but I just can’t in case we are not ready in time.

It is absolutely 100 percent happening this year. It has to happen this year because I’ve got plans for next year. Imagine if I have to cancel because I am having a baby!”

Yes, a baby mention! Adele, who is mom to 9-year-old Angelo, revealed that she would very much like to expand her family:

“I would like to have more children – I only just feel like I’ve caught up with my sleep from nine years ago when I had my son.”

She likewise stated that she “regrets” the last-minute announcement of her Vegas residency delay, but reasoned:

“It would have been a really half-a**ed show and I can’t do that. People will see straight through me up on the stage and know I didn’t want to be doing it. I’ve never done anything like that in my life and I’m not going to start now.”

Adele shared that she plans on taking an extended break from the spotlight after her residency, but that she also aims to change the way she approaches privacy:

“I am trying to make a conscious effort to stop being so anal with my privacy. I’m trying not to be two completely different versions of myself. It is exhausting switching on and off.

I will be disappearing in terms of my music, but you might see a glimpse of me now and then and I won’t be in complete hiding. It takes me a while to recharge.”

And she spoke about her son and his father, her ex-husband Simon Konecki, whom she thanked when she received her Artist Of The Year award at the BRIT Awards:

“They are my soulmates – Angelo and Simon. Our family is separated but we’re nailing it and doing a really, really good job.”
