Alex Newell is letting the world know that there’s no bad blood between him and Lea Michele.
Three years after making negative comments about Lea, they are showing fans that they are friendly with each other now and that there is no beef between them and their Glee co-star.
Over the weekend, Alex won their first Tony Award for their performance in the Broadway musical Shucked. Lea was spotted seated just a few rows in front of them during the ceremony. Fans were quick to notice that Alex had to walk past Lea on their way to the stage when they accepted their award.
Lea took to social media to share a photo with Alex. The newly-minted Tony winner then re-shared the photo along with a positive message.
On their Instagram Stories, Alex wrote:
“This was a moment for me! I’m so happy we could share this season together! And thank you for celebrating me!
@leamichele look how far we’ve come!”
Lea reshared the story to her own Instagram Stories, accompanied by a heart emoji.
In case you didn’t know, Alex was a recurring star on Glee for many seasons. When people were speaking out with allegations against Lea’s attitude and behavior on set back in 2020, Alex shared a “get her” GIF.
Glad to see things have healed between them!
