Blake Lively has found powerful allies in her fight against It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni. The actress, 37, recently filed a lawsuit accusing Baldoni, 40, of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign to damage her career.

Since the lawsuit was filed, Baldoni has reportedly been dropped by his talent agency. Now, Blake’s long-time friends and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-stars Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn, and America Ferrera have come forward to publicly support her.

On Sunday evening (December 22), the trio released a joint statement on Instagram, standing firmly by Blake’s side.

“As Blake’s friends and sisters for over twenty years, we stand with her in solidarity as she fights back against the reported campaign waged to destroy her reputation. Throughout the filming of It Ends With Us, we saw her summon the courage to ask for a safe workplace for herself and colleagues on set, and we are appalled to read the evidence of a premeditated and vindictive effort that ensued to discredit her voice. Most upsetting is the unabashed exploitation of domestic violence survivors’ stories to silence a woman who asked for safety. The hypocrisy is astounding,” the statement read.

The actresses went on to emphasise the challenges women face, even those as successful and celebrated as Blake.

“We are struck by the reality that even if a woman is as strong, celebrated, and resourced as our friend Blake, she can face forceful retaliation for daring to ask for a safe working environment. We are inspired by our sister’s courage to stand up for herself and others,” they wrote.

Their words not only highlight their solidarity with Blake but also shed light on the broader issue of women facing professional and personal retaliation for speaking out about workplace misconduct.

In addition to her Sisterhood co-stars, Blake has also received support from Colleen Hoover, the author of It Ends With Us. Hoover’s book, which became a cultural phenomenon, was the basis for the film adaptation.

While Hoover has not publicly commented extensively, her support of Blake indicates a widening circle of allies willing to stand by the actress during this contentious period.

Blake’s lawsuit against Baldoni is more than a personal legal battle; it has sparked conversations about workplace safety, retaliation, and the systemic challenges women face in advocating for themselves.

While the lawsuit unfolds, it’s clear Blake is not fighting this battle alone. With steadfast support from her inner circle and a growing number of public allies, she continues to highlight the importance of creating safe and respectful workplaces for everyone.

The enduring bond between the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants actresses serves as a reminder of the strength of friendship. As Amber, Alexis, and America stand by Blake, their collective voice amplifies a message of empowerment and accountability.
