Nico Santos and Zeke Smith are engaged!
Survivor star Zeke Smith and Superstore actor Nico Santos took their relationship to the next level in a very touching surprise proposal from Zeke to Nico at the 33rd GLAAD Media Awards on Saturday.
While on stage to promote GLAAD, Zeke surprised Nico by dropping on one knee to pop the question. In front of everyone, Zeke sweetly said to Nico:
“Speaking of love stories. Ours began four years ago here in our favorite restaurant, The Beverly Hills ballroom… he swept me off my feet. Nico, your love has taught me how to love.
You are my other half, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
The audience clapped and cheered as Zeke declared his love and presented Nico with a Tiffany and Co. ring — which Nico emotionally accepted. Nico then returned to the mic, hilariously stating:
“Oh, s**t!”
Later on, the couple celebrated their love on social media.
Zeke shared photos from the sweet moment and wrote:
“He said yes. I’m the luckiest guy in the world. Thank you to @glaad and @tiffanyandco for making it magical.”
Nico also shared photos along with this heartfelt message:
“I said yes. You have my heart forever @zekerchief.”
