Amanda Bynes’ conservatorship is over.
On Tuesday (March 22), a Century County Superior Court judge in California put an end to the nine-year conservatorship that began in 2013, to the 35-year-old actress’ joy.
She spoke out following the court decision, sharing her happiness at the ‘wonderful news.’ In a statement released via her attorney David A. Esquibas, Amanda stated:
“Words can’t even describe how I feel — wonderful news.”
The former What I Like About You star expressed her gratitude to everyone for all the support:
“Following today’s decision by the judge to terminate my conservatorship, I would like to thank my fans for their love and well wishes during this time.
I would also like to thank my lawyer and my parents for their support over the last nine years.”
Amanda also opened up about how she’s been working on herself and how much she is looking forward to this new chapter in her life:
“In the last several years, I have been working hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I will continue to prioritize my well-being in this next chapter.
I am excited about my upcoming endeavors, including my fragrance line, and look forward to sharing more when I can.”
