Amanda Bynes was placed under psychiatric hold.
The 36-year-old former Amanda Show actress reportedly called 911 on herself as she was walking around the streets naked in Los Angeles.
An eyewitness revealed to outlets that Amanda apparently flagged down a car early on Sunday (March 19) without any clothes on. She told the driver that she was coming down from a psychotic episode, and was taken to a nearby police station.
A mental health expert then determined that Amanda needed to be placed on a 5150 hold. The 5150 hold lasts for 72 hours, but this can be extended if there is a need to do so.
Amanda was set to attend ‘90s Con over the weekend in what was supposed to be her first public appearance in several years. She backed out at the last minute.
Her conservatorship was terminated by a judge more than a year ago, She was placed in a conservatorship under her mother back in 2013 after she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and several incidents including setting fire to a neighbor’s driveway.
