Angelina Jolie is doing what she can to ensure that kids all over the country can eat amid the coronavirus outbreak.
On Wednesday (March 25), No Kid Hungry announced that the Maleficent star has donated $1 Million to their campaign to provide meals for children from low-income families.
“As of this week, over a billion children are out of school worldwide because of closures linked to coronavirus,” Angie shared in a statement. “Many children depend on the care and nutrition they receive during school hours, including nearly 22 million children in America who rely on food support. No Kid Hungry is making resolute efforts to reach as many of those children as possible.”
Kylie Jenner is also giving back during this time of crisis.
On Wednesday (March 25), Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi, who delivered Kylie’s daughter, Stormi, a little over two years ago, revealed that the makeup mogul donated $1 Million to help get healthcare workers necessary supplies.
“I am speechless, my eyes are filled with tears of joy and my heart is overwhelmed with gratitude. I made a wish to the Universe to gather protective masks for our brave healthcare workers and today my dream came true,” Dr. Aliabadi wrote. “One of my patients, a beautiful Living Angel just donated $1,000,000 to help us buy hundreds of thousands of masks, face shields, and other protective gear which we will have delivered directly to our first responders, as too many masks at hospitals are disappearing before making their way onto the faces of our front line heroes.”
“I have never felt more blessed to be a doctor, as helping our brave ER and ICU workers feels just as gratifying as helping my own patients,” she continued. “From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU @kyliejenner ❤️. You are my hero. This generous donation will help save many precious lives. Our world is a better place with you in it. I love you so much. Thank you X a million.”
“i love you! and thank YOU for all the love and care you put into everything that you do! you’re an angel on earth,” Kylie commented on the post.
With many businesses shut down amid the coronavirus pandemic, more and more people have been finding it harder to make ends meet.
Some stars have reached out directly to some of their fans who have been struggling financially to lend a helping hand.
Taylor Swift gave $3,000 to fan who is struggling stay financially afloat during the crisis as the industries she works in have come to a standstill.
“I made a post on tumblr about how I was scared I wouldn’t be able to stay living in NYC because of what corona has done to the music industry,” Holly Turner wrote on Twitter. “@taylorswift13 literally single-handedly saved my ability to stay here. I cannot even believe my eyes right now.”
Holly then attached a screenshot of a $3,000 notification from Taylor Nation, LLC, along with the message, “Holly, You’ve always been there for me. I want to be there for you now. I hope this helps. Love, Taylor.”
Taylor also reached out to another longtime fan, Samantha, after she shared a Tumblr post that her workplace has closed for a month due to the pandemic, rendering her with no source of income.
Samantha later shared that Taylor sent the money via a payment app, along with a note that read, “Love you buddy, sending you a hug.”
According to Page Six, Ariana Grande has also been secretly doing the same, sending between $500 and $1,000 through Venmo to more than 20 fans financially struggling amid the government-forced shutdowns.
