Anna Marie Tendler has gone viral for accusing Taylor Swift of copying her.
The artist, who many may know as the ex of John Mulaney, posted a now-deleted TikTok video where she accused Taylor and her team of copying one of her art pieces.
The moment she pinpointed came during Taylor’s Eras Tour, where Taylor sets a dining table before performing “Tolerate It.” Anna Marie said:
“Uh, Taylor, my girl, people who designed Taylor’s tour? This ‘Tolerate It’ setup looks strikingly like one of my photographs in tone and in aesthetics.
It doesn’t totally feel like parallel thinking to me. I’m a small artist, [an] independent artist who is trying to make money and live off of my artwork.
I don’t know what to do about this. Maybe somebody can help me.”
Anna Marie’s video quickly went viral as fans dragged her and called her out, saying it was just a dining table.
She evidently saw all the backlash and issued a statement to explain herself. She wrote:
“Hi! This was meant to be a joke. Most of my videos are jokes or satire!
Where I realized it wasn’t landing as a joke I deleted it. Didn’t mean offense.”
