It’s been almost 10 years since Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik came together and formed what would become one of the most successful boybands in the world.
Now, fans are speculating that these five guys – yes, five! – could be reuniting for One Direction’s 10th year anniversary.
As a refresher, Zayn left the band in 2015 and they haven’t performed together since. 1D continued on as a quartet for a while, but the band announced their hiatus in 2016.
The Clues:
In a recent interview, Liam confirmed that he’s been in touch with former bandmates Harry, Niall and Louis.
“We’ve got a ten-year anniversary coming up so we’ve all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks which has been really nice,” he told The Sun. “At the moment I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say. There’s a number of different things that we are all working on to try and make happen and people are forwarding emails around.”
Then, the hashtag #OneDirectionReunion started trending on Twitter when fans noticed that Harry, Liam, Niall and Louis all re-followed Zayn on the platform.
Further online activities, including One Direction website getting reactivated and all five 1D albums are back on Apple Music, are fueling the reunion rumors even more.
