Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato have fans all up in a tizzy about a possible upcoming collab.
It all started when Ari shared a clip of some audio tracks with her vocals on Instagram Story, writing, “backgrounds on a song for a friend :)”
It’s not uncommon for Ari to share snippets from an upcoming single, BUT when Demi reposted the video, and added “👀👀👀,” and fan speculations of a “Dariana” collab went into hyperdrive.
“Dariana is coming,” one fan tweeted.
“today is a great day for demi & ariana fans DARIANA IS COMING,” another wrote.
And one fan even shared an old interview where Demi talked about wanting to do a collab with Ari.
“I wish that I’d done a song with Ariana, actually, because we’ve been talking about doing a song together for a long time,” she said in the clip. “But finding the right song for two girls to sing is really difficult, so it hasn’t come together yet.”
According to E! News, Demi and Ari have actually been friends for years – ever since they performed at Wango Tango in 2013. They continued to stay close throughout the years, eventually ended up having the same manager – Scooter Braun.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar last year, Demi opened up about her friendship with Ari.
“I love the fact that Ariana and I have such a supportive friendship because it’s hard to find,” she said. “Two women who are in a competitive industry—the whole world seems to want to pit women against each other, so it would be so easy to do that,” noting that Ari has been supportive of Demi’s endeavors and vice versa.

Demi and Ari’s reps are yet to respond to requests for comment for their possible collab.
