Things may be falling apart for Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom — at least according to multiple sources close to the couple.
Over the last few days, rumors have been spreading that the 40-year-old “Firework” superstar and her fiancé, 48-year-old actor Orlando Bloom, are headed toward a split. Now insiders are weighing in with their perspectives.
“They’re pretty much done,” a source told People, adding that they “don’t really see them being able to turn things around here.”
“It’s been breaking down the last couple of months and isn’t looking good,” the insider continued.
The update comes after another source previously claimed that Katy and Orlando were experiencing a major strain in their relationship while Katy was busy working on her latest album, 143, which was released in September 2024.
If you didn’t know, Katy and Orlando first started dating in 2016 and briefly split in 2017 before rekindling their relationship. They got engaged in 2019 and later welcomed their daughter, Daisy, in 2020 — adding another layer to their growing family.
Another insider also revealed that Katy, who is currently on her Lifetimes World Tour, and Orlando are wrestling with differing perspectives on their future together. “This comeback means a lot to her. She wants to give fans the best show,” the source said of Katy, who’s currently on tour in Australia. “She’s happy and just focused on her tour. Her daughter is with her and they’re sightseeing and having fun.”
While Katy is putting her heart into her tour, Orlando has kept busy promoting his new movie Deep Cover in NYC. He also recently reunited with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr and her husband Evan Spiegel at their son Flynn’s eighth grade graduation — proving there’s maturity and peace amid a tough moment.
