Breaking up is never easy, and when you’re in the public eye, it gets even more complicated. New details have emerged about the divorce settlement between Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez, and it’s quite the eye-opener.

Just last week, we learned that the 30-year-old “Positions” superstar and her 28-year-old real estate broker ex-husband had settled their divorce. They both filed for divorce in mid-September 2023 after months of separation.

But, as it turns out, ironing out the details of their split was relatively straightforward because they had a prenuptial agreement in place. According to reports, Dalton was set to receive a substantial lump sum payment in place of spousal support. Now, more insights into their settlement have come to light.

The divorce documents contain rules that both Dalton and Ariana must follow, and they’re quite remarkable.

Regarding spousal support, it’s spelled out explicitly: “The parties acknowledge that (Dalton) has been provided with thirty (30) days rent-free use of the Los Angeles Family Residence…and a tax-free payment of $1,250,000 from (Ariana)…in lieu of any spousal support payments being due.”

Moreover, they’ve agreed to forgo any permanent spousal support, irrespective of changes in health or financial circumstances:

“The parties acknowledge that there shall be no permanent spousal support payable by one party to the other party in this matter. This waiver of permanent spousal support is non-modifiable, irrespective of any changes in the parties’ respective health or financial circumstances.”

Ariana will also be taking care of their $6 million mortgage for their Los Angeles home. Once the property is sold down the line, the proceeds will be split evenly, with a 50/50 division.

The split also extends to their furniture and furnishings in their LA home. Dalton, however, gets to hold onto a Nara painting. But Ariana keeps her automobiles, clothing, jewelry, miscellaneous personal effects, her Nara painting, and earnings and accumulations at any time, whether before, during, or after their marriage.

Privacy is a significant factor in this settlement. Both Ariana and Dalton are forbidden from releasing any photos or videos created in their home. They’ve agreed not to “release, disclose, or publish any photograph (and related negatives), tape, film, or like embodiments in all forms, whether now or hereafter created or other record or recording of any aspect of any activity in or about any home, office, or other property owned.”

On top of that, the couple has also sworn to stay tight-lipped when it comes to media and writing books about their relationship. They’re barred from “giving any interview, writing, appearing in connection with, or assisting or cooperating in the preparation or presentation of any book, article, interview, program, or other production or publication of any kind whatsoever concerning the other party.”

This confidentiality provision is indeed vital, and it’s clear that both parties take it seriously.

In the end, the divorce documents highlight that Dalton “acknowledged that [Ariana’s] privacy and the non-disclosure of confidential information regarding him are vitally important.” The specifics of their agreement underscore just how critical these aspects are in their parting ways.
