Armie Hammer is getting candid about a past experience that led him to realise where his true attractions lie. The 38-year-old actor opened up on the latest episode of his HammerTime podcast, where he shared details about his brief attempt at exploring his sexuality with another man.
“I tried hooking up with a dude one time and it was hilarious because I was like, you know what, ‘women are the worst, gay dudes seem to have it so easy,’” Armie began, explaining his curiosity. He admitted that he was intrigued by the way gay men can quickly connect through apps like Grindr.
“So, I was like, you know what, I’m gonna give this a try. Maybe this actually works for me. Let’s give it a go.”
He then shared details about the encounter: “I remember I met this dude—handsome, French, you know, the whole thing. I was like, okay, this could work. Let’s try this. I started making out with him, and I just remember thinking, ‘God, beards… Women like it when you shave, but this thing is rough—how do I get in there?’”
As the moment progressed, he realised it wasn’t for him. “I put my arms around him, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, his shoulders are so wide. He’s so big, he’s almost my height—this is so strange.’ And it did physically for me, absolutely nothing. Nothing. Not even a twitch.”
Despite going through the motions, he knew it wasn’t right for him. “We were making out, and it was kind of getting hotter and heavier, but I was just not feeling anything. Then he reached for my d—k, and I was like, ‘You’re not going to touch my flaccid p—s, like this is not going to happen. I’m sorry.’”
