Avril Lavigne’s love life is going through some major changes.
The singer has reportedly broken up with Mod Sun. The two got engaged back in April of 2022, and now, reports have it that they have ended their engagement and their relationship.
Previously, Avril had revealed that she and Mod Sun met during a songwriting session soon after she was out of a relationship. The two hit it off instantly. Dating rumors were in full swing by February 2021 when they were seen together. Valentines Day of that year, they confirmed that they were together by holding hands and kissing in public.
Sadly however, their relationship appears to have come to an end. Outlets reported:
“[They] tried to make things work, but it just wasn’t right.”
Although it is unclear why they have split, it’s being reported that there was no cheating on either side.

Avril was just spotted hugging another music star recently, fueling speculations of a new romance.
On Sunday evening (February 19), Avril went out to dinner with another musician – Tyga. The two were photographed together, though it appears from the photos that it was not just the two of them that night.
Eyewitnesses dished that Avril and Tyga “appeared extremely comfortable hanging out, and shared a hug in the parking lot before leaving in the same vehicle.”
Some sources have squashed the romance rumors, saying that the two “are good friends, and have been for some time, but its nothing romantic.”
Another insider said:
“Avril and Tyga are genuinely friends and nothing more. There was absolutely no third party involved in the split.”
