Bad Bunny’s rep is clearing the air.

The 29-year-old superstar was hounded by allegations that he was throwing shade at Harry Styles’ direction. The allegations came after his headlining show at Coachella Weekend 1.

During his performance, a tweet was displayed on the big screen which read:

“Goodnight Benito could do as it was but harry could never do el apagon.”

Following his performance, fans started to assume that Bad Bunny implied via the projected tweet that he was shading Harry.

But on Monday (April 17), a rep for Bad Bunny spoke out, saying that the artist declined to comment. The rep did however declare that the artist did not approve the image of the tweet that was shown onstage.

The visual content company who was behind his set likewise confirmed that Bad Bunny did not approve the tweet.

Sturdy.Co said in a statement:

“Our intention is to create light hearted designs that embody Bad Bunny’s personality and amplify the experience he presents as a performer. The request from the artist during the visuals for ‘El Apagon’ performance was to use the image only and not text from the tweet, which we take responsibility for and correct it for Friday’s performance.

These visuals are a celebration of Bad Bunny and his dedication to empowering his native island, Puerto Rico.”
