Bad Bunny is back on top! The 30-year-old Puerto Rican sensation’s latest album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, has skyrocketed to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, following its release on Sunday, January 5. In the tracking week ending January 16, the album earned a whopping 203,500 equivalent album units, with streaming activity leading the charge.

This isn’t Bad Bunny’s first rodeo at the top. He’s previously clinched the No. 1 spot with albums like Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana (2023), Un Verano Sin Ti (2022), and El Último Tour del Mundo (2020). What’s more, the 264.03 million streams of Debí Tirar Más Fotos’ tracks mark the largest streaming week for any album since Kendrick Lamar’s GNX in 2024, and the biggest for any Latin music album since Bad Bunny’s own Un Verano Sin Ti in 2022.

But the accolades don’t stop there. Debí Tirar Más Fotos also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart, making it Bad Bunny’s ninth consecutive project to do so. The album’s success is further highlighted by all 17 tracks landing on the Billboard Hot 100, propelling Bad Bunny to become the first Latin artist with over 100 career entries on the chart. This achievement places him among the top artists globally.

Critics are raving about the album’s blend of traditional Puerto Rican music genres—such as salsa, plena, and jíbaro—with modern Latin pop and música urbana. According to Pitchfork, tracks like “NUEVAYoL,” “BAILE INoLVIDABLE,” and “CAFé CON RON” pay homage to the island’s rich musical heritage while addressing contemporary issues like gentrification and cultural identity.

Adding to his list of accomplishments, Bad Bunny has made history by selling out all tickets for his residency at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in record time—over 400,000 tickets in just four hours.
