Beanie Feldstein Bids ‘Funny Girl’ Farewell

Beanie Feldstein has taken her final curtain call as Fanny Brice. 

On Sunday (July 31), the 29-year-old actress ended her run in the iconic role on Funny Girl. She took to social media after taking bowing out on the Broadway show to bid the role and the musical farewell. 

She shared a series of photos documenting her Funny Girl run, including a shot of her posing on stage with the rest of the musical’s cast. Also included were photos of Beanie with fellow castmates like Ramin Karimloo, Jared Grimes, and Jane Lynch. The final photo was a picture of her on stage, in costume, which was snapped from behind the curtain.

Along with the photos, she wrote:

“But now it’s just another show. And you leave ‘em laughing when you go.”

Beanie likewise re-shared tribute posts written by her friends, including her Impeachment: American Crime Story co-star Sarah Paulson, who said:

“The one and only @beaniefeldstein. She was a thrilling, wildly moving Fanny. That’s just the fu***ng truth @beaniefeldstein.”

Her longtime friend and fellow Broadway star Ben Platt wrote:

“Wishing my 15 year ride or die a wonderful last performance today. She’s one of a kind, a queen of grace, strength and talent, and her audiences have been incredibly lucky. We can’t wait to see what you do next.”

Funny Girl co-star Jane Lynch, who played Fanny’s mother in the show, wrote in the comments section of her post:

“Love you, Beans!!”

The official Instagram account of Funny Girl shared a video of the cast and crew sending well-wishes to Beanie, with this caption:

“Happy Trails, @beaniefeldstein! – Love, your Funny Fam <3”
