Bebe Rexha is speaking out with honesty and vulnerability after facing intense scrutiny about her appearance at the 2025 Met Gala.

The 35-year-old “Sacrifice” singer took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the hurtful comments about her weight, revealing a deeply personal truth in a now-deleted series of posts.

“I’m so tired of people commenting on my weight,” Bebe began, hitting back at the body-shaming she faced after walking the Met Gala red carpet.

She continued by sharing a painful experience that she’s been holding privately until now: “I have PCOS and struggle with infertility. I got pregnant, and it didn’t work out and I’ve been carrying that pain in silence.”

Though she emphasized that she didn’t owe anyone an explanation, Bebe said she hoped that by sharing her story, some might “think twice” before making comments about someone’s body: “While I didn’t owe anyone an explanation, I thought maybe if I shared a little of my story, some of you would think twice before commenting on a woman’s body.”

Her look for the Met Gala, a dramatic ensemble designed by Christian Siriano, quickly became the subject of online debate—but it was a specific remark from fellow musician Azealia Banks that Bebe also addressed directly.

Banks wrote, “Sis gives me…hormonal birth control implant or something..” in a post many found insensitive.

Bebe responded with poise but didn’t hold back: “You might wanna jump on some type of therapy, sis, lexapro worked great for me. something that helps with the deep rooted sadness and chaos you keep projecting. Healing looks good on everyone. Try it.”

Despite the online negativity, Bebe wrapped up her post on a note of self-care and peace: “Ok I’m gonna go and enjoy my day now. Have a good day everyone love you.”

Fans rallied in support of the singer, praising her for her courage and transparency. And for many, Bebe’s words served as a much-needed reminder that you never know what someone’s silently going through—especially when they’re under the spotlight.
