The return of the era of Ben and Jen is definitely among this year’s biggest Hollywood highlights. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were after all the defining couple of the early aughts, and so when they rekindled their romance at the start of 2021, fans all over the world felt it — and rejoiced!
The celebrity mega couple have been spotted and photographed together many times since their high-profile reconciliation, and are often seen being sweet and affectionate towards each other. But they haven’t spoken much publicly about their romance and their reunion.
In a new interview for his cover feature on WSJ. Magazine’s December/January issue, however, Ben finally gave us some rare comments about his rekindled romance with Jen! \
When the 49-year-old actor was asked about the story behind their reconciliation after so many years, he stated:
“I can say that it’s definitely beautiful to me. And, you know, one of the things I really value across all facets of my life now is that it was handled in a way that reflected that. And it is a good story. It’s a great story.”
While he didn’t elaborate on their story, he did tease:
“And, you know, maybe one day I’ll tell it. I’ll write it all out. And then I’ll light it on fire! [laughs]”
Ben also touched on all the speculations surrounding his relationship with Jen, saying:
“You can write conjecture about it, but one of the harder lessons that I have learned is that it’s not wise to share everything with the world.
I know that I feel more comfortable having those healthy boundaries in my life around which, in a friendly and straightforward way, I tell you, I just don’t want to be talking about my personal relationship in the newspaper. I’m going to exercise a little restraint.”
