During the interview, Ben touched on his own public persona, particularly his “resting b-tch face,” and contrasted it with the whirlwind of attention that follows Jennifer wherever she goes. “We went somewhere with [Jennifer]—I can’t remember because she’s so famous, and she creates this—people love her, and she really represents something important to people,” Ben said. He highlighted the difference in the public’s reaction to him versus Jennifer, humorously noting, “[To me,] people are like, ‘Hey, I like your movie,’ and then they’re like ‘AAAHHHH! JLO!’ It’s amazing, you know what I mean?”
Ben recounted a specific experience that underscored just how intense the attention can be when you’re with Jennifer. He described a time they had to walk through Times Square, which turned into a surreal scene. “We get out of the car, we were going to a play, and I was like, ‘F–k it, babe, we’re going to be late, we gotta walk a block and a half.’ [Jennifer] was like, ‘Alright,’ she didn’t say sh—t,” Ben recalled.
The casual stroll quickly became anything but ordinary. “We get out with her, all the kids, through Times Square, and the sh—t was like f–kin’ bananas,” he added. The chaotic scene was punctuated by an unforgettable character: “I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ There was a lady, she was smoking weed, in a full purple skintight suit—she’s a heavy lady—and she starts running backwards filming, going ‘JLO!!’”
