Looks like Ben Affleck is also reconnecting with members of Jennifer Lopez’s family.
On Wednesday, Ben was spotted spending some time with J.Lo’s mom, Guadalupe Rodríguez, at the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas.
In photos published by the Daily Mail, the two appeared to be hanging out by the slot machine and talking animatedly. J.Lo wasn’t seen at the venue, but Ben and Guadalupe were surrounded by camera people and security guards.
In case you’re wondering why the two are hanging out at a casino, J.Lo once described her mom as a “huge gambler.” And, per Page Six, Ben is reportedly filming and directing a new project in Vegas. However, it’s still unclear whether Guadalupe is part of Ben’s project.
It’s totally possible that this isn’t the first time they’ve hung out, too.
Remember when J.Lo and Ben both attended the VAX Live Concert in May? J.Lo’s mom was also there – in fact, J.Lo brought her out on stage when she was singing “Sweet Caroline.” And it’s highly probable that Ben and Guadalupe got a chance to spend some time together at the event.
Ben spending time with J.Lo’s mom come amid reports that J.Lo is moving to Los Angeles for a “fresh start” with Ben.
“She will be between L.A. and the Hamptons this summer, but L.A. will be her base,” a source tells E! News. “She is looking at schools for her kids in the fall.”
“She is excited about a fresh start and pursuing things with Ben,” the source adds. “They will be at their L.A. home soon.”
And now that they’re reportedly giving their romance another go, it seems they’re trying to learn from their past mistakes.
Another source tells Entertainment Tonight that the pair has “talked about the past and why things didn’t work out” and they’re now “putting the effort in” and are totally “hopeful about their relationship this time around.”
With paparazzi watching their every move, they’ve even reportedly discussed how to handle the attention.
Apparently, dealing with paps was one of the “big issues” that Ben and Jen had back in the day. But the source also says that this time, Ben understands that being papped like that comes with having a high-profile relationship.
“Ben and JLo had a discussion about paparazzi,” a source tells Page Six. “JLo warned him they would be followed by paparazzi again, and he knew and understood.”
