Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are celebrating their love with a second wedding – all weekend long! The newlyweds may have already tied the knot in Vegas, but now it is officially time for their second act.
Over a month after Ben, 50, and Jen, 53, exchanged vows in an impromptu Las Vegas ceremony, the lovebirds are celebrating their new life together in front of their nearest and dearest in a week-long lavish affair in Georgia.
A source revealed to E! News that the duo have been busy with preparations since earlier this week and are focused on making sure everything is in place and putting the final touches on their special weekend. Here’s the deets on Bennifer’s second wedding:
- The couple will say “I do” for the second time at Ben’s riverside estate
* Guests were welcomed to the estate with ATV rides and a bonfire
- The festivities will kick off with a rehearsal dinner Friday night, followed by a ceremony at the estate on Saturday. On Sunday will be a send-off barbecue
* Jen will walk down the aisle in a custom Ralph Lauren gown
- The wedding celebration is being planned by interior designer and event planner Colin Cowie
- Lifestyle guru Jay Shetty will be presiding over the ceremony and officiating the couple on their big day
- Among the celebrities likely to be in attendance are Ben’s BFF Matt Damon and Jen’s close friend Leah Remini
- The guests will be staying in style as the couple “booked out scores of rooms at the best hotels in Savannah” for their attendees
- Ahead of their big celebration, the couple have been enjoying some R&R in Georgia with their children (Jen is mom to twins Max and Emme, 14, with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Ben is dad to Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner)
- Their festivities will include an elaborate fireworks show
Plans were thrown off course when Ben’s mother was rushed to the hospital on Friday morning after falling off the dock and cutting her leg. An ambulance was seen departing the property. She has since been tended to and is reportedly okay.
